Why I am a Champion for this Cause
As a passionate supporter of The Learning Web’s work, I am participating as a Champion in Fuel The Learning Web Spark! In this fundraiser, I created a personal challenge and a fundraising goal. I have a limited time to attain my challenge and to ask friends, family and co-workers to acknowledge the importance of identifying and fulfilling personal goals by making donations to The Learning Web—thus supporting Tompkins County youth as they explore and achieve their personal challenges, dreams, goals, and passions. Please learn about my challenge and how you can support me and The Learning Web:
I wouldn’t have worked at The Learning Web for almost 30 years if I didn’t believe in its mission– to help young people grow into their best self! I am combining my passion for The LW, my passion for my family, and my passion for creating textile pieces, to come up with a challenge that will help me achieve my goal of raising $1000 for The Learning Web’s youth programs.
I will be creating a tribute honoring my Mom’s donation of her eyes after her death in 2008. I will participate in the Threads of Life Donor Remembrance Quilt, creating 200 inches of textile tribute to my Mom. Support my challenge by donating any amount large or small. A $250 donation supports 25 inches of tribute at $5/inch , a $50 donation would support 10 inches of tribute and so on. Your donation will help keep The Learning Web’s spark alive!
Thanks so much!
